Today saw the under 9’s make there first long road trip to Banbury to play Easington Sports in the first league game of the season in the Oxford Mail Girls League.

After a journey that took over 4 hours round trip they didn’t disappoint.

Every single girl played amazing football with some great passing and movement throughout and scoring some really good team goals, the game ending with a thoroughly deserved result.

Easington Sports were brilliant hosts and because of the girls long journey with both coaches and players agreeing they played a second small game and penalties to finish off a very fun and enjoyable morning of football.

Sophie Dugan who coaches both the under 8’s and 9’s expressed just how good the girls played, saying how proud she was of them because of the girls sense of team work and support throughout, the great passing and decision making, the never say die attitude and above all the will to want to listen and learn which is really showing in all of them.

Sophie also thanked all the parents for not only taking the girls the distance they had but for the continued support and dedication.

Watch this space the under 9’s have arrived and are ready to play!
